The RECARO AVAN car seat is dedicated to the youngest travellers whose weight does not exceed 13 kg and they are between 40 and 83 cm tall. The model has been designed to ensure the highest safety standards for children, as exemplified by its compliance with the latest UN R129 standard, while also ensuring that travelling is fully comfortable for the children.

Installation with a base or a seat belt

RECARO AVAN can be installed in a car in two ways - the first is through the use of an ISOFIX base and the second is with 3-point car seat belts. The base that fits the RECARO AVAN seat can also be used for another RECARO model dedicated to older children (in this case the RECARO KIO seat). In addition, the base can be installed with a single click, which makes daily use easier, and thanks to the indicators that light up green, the parent can be sure that the seat is in the right place.

Innovative ventilation system

In the RECARO AVAN model, particular care has been taken to ensure adequate air circulation. Solutions have been applied to prevent the child from overheating and to provide a supply of fresh air and thus increase comfort. Special holes were used in the seat shell and in the inner energy-intensive layer, while the upholstery had space for mesh inserts. Special protectors also reduce the heating of the belts and minimize the risk of skin irritation. This combination makes the ventilation system really high-quality.

Functional seat belt buckle

This facilitation will surely be appreciated by parents who put their child in and out of the seat on a daily basis. The buckle in the RECARO AVAN automatically tilts forward when the seat belt is released and the child is removed. This makes it easier and faster to fasten the buckle when the child is in the seat again.

Sun visor with sun protection

To protect your child from the sun's rays, you can use the visor, which can be unfolded with one hand. It protects your child's sensitive skin, which will prove useful when travelling in the car but also during walks, as the RECARO AVAN car seat has adapters for attaching the seat to the frame of a pushchair.
