A rotating seat for children from about 3 months up to 4 years of age. It is a solution for children who weigh no more than 18 kg and are between 61 and 105 cm tall. The seat has passed the Test Plus, which is one of the most demanding crash tests. In the tests carried out by the ADAC in 2018, it received an overall good rating and a very good safety rating, which only confirms its effectiveness in protecting the child while travelling. BRITAX SWINGFIX M I-SIZE is equipped with a seat that rotates through 90°, as well as systems that ensure safety in both frontal and side collisions. The seat is mounted in a rearward-facing position - this is the safest position for children.
Comfortable travel up to 4 years of age
Imagine that your child is travelling in the same seat for 4 years and still has the same high level of safety and comfort. This is the case with the BRITAX SWINGFIX M I-SIZE, which is adapted to the size and predisposition of both a 3-month-old baby and a 4-year-old preschooler. This is due to an extensive adjustment system and the possibility of adjusting the headrest and seat to the child's height.
Rotating seat for the comfort of use
When your child travels in a carrier, you take it out with him/her. However, a 3-month-old baby can already travel in the car seat from which he or she is removed after the journey. This is when it is useful to rotate the car seat. You can turn the seat 90° towards the open door and fasten or unfasten the seat belts to remove or sit the child in the seat. This provides a great deal of comfort and convenience for the parent, especially when a few months old baby becomes a bigger 4-year-old and it is more difficult to put it in and take it out of the seat.
It is the safest position to travel for children. The seat is positioned rearward-facing. It is five times safer for a child in a frontal collision than forward-facing travel. This is because the impact force on the child's neck area is lower in this case. The BRITAX SWINGFIX M I-SIZE enables children between 61 and 105 cm tall to travel in a backwards-facing position.
Effective protection during impact
The seat features innovative safety systems. One of them is the SICT system, which is responsible for protection during a side impact. These are special covers which are mounted in the seat from the car door side. They absorb energy before it reaches the car seat and the child. The reduced impact force ensures that the child is protected from the effects of an impact. Another system is the Pivot Link. It is responsible for directing the impact force downwards and then forward. This is done in order to protect the head and neck of the child from injury.
Ideal travelling conditions
To provide your child with the best conditions for travelling on both short and long journeys, the seat has been equipped with an anti-rotation frame. This prevents it from tipping over towards the backrest of the car's back seat and additionally protects your child. The seat has a wide V-shaped headrest which both protects the head and ensures its proper position. The harness has been covered with neoprene soft pads which prevent abrasions but also reduce the movement of the child in case of a collision.
