ADAC rating (for safety) facing the driving direction
Britax Römer Dualfix M i-Size
A seat that stands out with the greatest versatility of all Britax-Romer models. It is the seat that follows the carrier and is dedicated to babies from 3 months to 4 years of age. Children weighing up to 18 kg and measuring between 61 and 105 cm in height can travel in it. Thanks to 360° of rotation the seat can be used both in a forwards and backwards-facing position. In addition, this function makes it easy to take the child out of the car when the seat is turned towards the car door. The seat is equipped with an adjustable anti-rotation frame, which adapts to the backrest of the car's back seat and prevents the seat from moving when a collision occurs.
Forward and backwards-facing travel
The recommended type of travel for the youngest children is in a backwards-facing position. This way of travelling is five times safer than forward-facing travel. During a frontal impact less force is applied on the head and neck of a child in a backwards-mounted child seat, which makes the child better protected. Children between 61 and 105 cm tall can travel in this position. However, BRITAX DUALFIX M I-SIZE can also be optionally positioned forward-facing if your child is already 76 cm tall.
360° rotating seat
This is a very comfortable and practical solution which makes it easier, more comfortable and faster to fasten and unfasten your child. The seat has a special mechanism that allows for 360° rotation, i.e. full rotation around its axis. You can easily rotate the seat to the open door to fasten or unfasten the child securely.
Safety systems for better protection
In the event of a side collision, the child is protected by a special SICT system. These are special covers on the sides of the seat. They have a big influence on the child's safety because during the impact they are the first element that is hit and that absorbs some energy. If there is a frontal impact, another Pivot Link system will activate. The force in the event of a frontal and side impact is first directed downwards and then forward. This direction effectively reduces the risk of injury to the head and cervical vertebral column.
