Axkid GoKid + Base Gokid

Swedish safety from day one

The first trip home from the hospital is a big event. The Axkid GoKid is an infant carrier (0-13 kg) that combines rigorous i-Size standards with the lightweight design and mobility you need during your child's first months.

Axkid is famous for the safest rear-facing seats for older children. Now, that same safety philosophy has been captured in the compact GoKid carrier. It is the perfect choice for parents looking for simple, proven solutions: a seat that you can easily install in the car, attach to a stroller, and that ensures your little one a peaceful sleep in a safe position.

Safety without compromise (i-Size Standard)

The Axkid GoKid meets the latest safety standards, meaning it has passed demanding crash tests, including side-impact protection tests.

5-point harness: Unlike many competing infant carriers (which have 3-point harnesses), the GoKid is equipped with a 5-point harness. This ensures a more secure hold on the child's body and better force distribution in the event of a potential collision.

Grows with your baby

A newborn changes week by week. The Axkid GoKid features an adaptive insert system and an adjustable headrest (4 positions).

For preemies and newborns: The infant insert cradles the baby, ensuring a flat, healthy spinal position and head stabilization.

For infants: As your child grows, simply remove the inserts and raise the headrest to gain space up to 87 cm in height (approx. 15 months).

Mobility beyond the car

The GoKid weighs 4.2 kg, making it a handy companion for daily errands.

Travel system: The seat is compatible with most strollers on the market (featuring universal Maxi-Cosi style attachments).

Weather protection: A spacious sun canopy with UV protection shields your little one from sun and wind, creating a cozy cocoon for naps.

Freedom of choice: Seat belt or ISOFIX base

You don't have to worry about which car you are taking.

ISOFIX Base : For everyday convenience, you can click the seat into the dedicated ISOFIX base with a single click. Green indicators confirm that the seat is installed correctly.

Vehicle seat belt: Taking a taxi or the grandparents' car without a base? The seat is approved for installation using the 3-point vehicle seat belt. The belt guides are intuitive and ensure a stable installation.

8stars Expert View (Who is this for?)

The Axkid GoKid is the perfect entry into the world of Swedish safety. It is a "no-nonsense" seat – it has no complicated mechanisms that can break, but it has everything crucial for protecting life.

What we like:

5-point harness: In this price class, this is a major safety asset.

Versatility: The option to install with a seat belt is a lifesaver in emergency situations (Uber, replacement car).

Verdict: If you are looking for a solid, safe infant carrier from a premium brand that won't break the budget, yet provides peace of mind from birth until the transition to a larger RWF seat – the Axkid GoKid is a great choice.
