The Maxi-Cosi Pearl XL Slide Pro is the successor to the infant seat in the 360 Pro family, but with a huge "twist". Designed for children from approx. 6 months up to 12 years (up to 150 cm), it combines SlideTech™ ergonomics (sliding on the base) with the functionality of a classic "final" car seat. It is an investment that evolves with your family's needs.
How does it work?
You use the seat in two modes that change as your child grows:
Stage 1: Toddler (61 – 105 cm | max 17 kg)
Harness: Internal 5-point harness.
Installation: On the FamilyFix Slide Pro base.
Features: During this period, you enjoy the full benefits of the system: you rotate the seat 360 degrees and slide it out of the car (SlideTech™) to comfortably fasten the harness without bending down. We recommend rear-facing travel (RWF) for as long as possible in this range.
Buckling up: 3-point vehicle seat belt (like an adult).
Installation: Standalone car seat using its own ISOFIX connectors (without the base!).
Transformation: You tuck the internal harness away into the seat shell, and the seat becomes a safe, high-back seat for an older child.
SlideTech™ – A revolution in buckling up (Stage 1)
Thanks to the Slide Pro base, the seat slides out beyond the car's perimeter. You don't have to "dive" inside to tighten the toddler's harness. You stand upright, with full access to the child. This system is AGR-certified as back-friendly.
A Major Innovation
Independent ISOFIX connectors
This is the moment where the Pearl XL outclasses the competition. In typical modular systems, when the child outgrows the base, you have to buy a new seat because the "old" seat is useless without the base. Here, it is different.
When the child transitions to the car seat belt (over 100 cm):
You detach the seat from the FamilyFix Slide Pro base (you can sell the base or use it for a second child with an infant carrier!).
From the bottom part of the Pearl XL seat, you slide out the hidden, independent ISOFIX connectors.
You attach the seat directly to the car's seat.
Thanks to this, the Pearl XL becomes a classic, lightweight, and slim seat for an older child (15-36 kg) without losing stability, and you reclaim the valuable base.
Easy-in Harness – No more tangles
The harness straps in the Pearl XL Slide Pro "stay" open and are held to the sides. This allows you to place your toddler in a clear seat and fasten the buckle in seconds.
Safety (G-CELL)
G-CELL side protection (honeycomb structure) is integrated into the seat, so it works effectively both when the seat is on the base and when it is used independently as a seat for an older child.

A base (Slide Pro).
Pearl XL Slide Pro. And that’s the end of expenses for 12 years.
Thanks to the fact that the Pearl XL has its own ISOFIX connectors, after age 4 you "free up" the expensive base, which can serve a younger sibling. It’s brilliant in its simplicity.
Remember to check the correct routing of the three-point seat belt!
Verdict: If you are looking for one solid seat to follow the infant carrier, which will stay with you until the end of the child seat requirement – the Pearl XL Slide Pro has no competition in the modular systems category.
